The links in the table below lead to our Ingredients A–Z and food additive database. The label has no allergen statement in parentheses, but the allergen on the official page is milk ingredients. The “高プロテイン28.6g※” (high protein 28.6 g*) on the front of the package is almost the same as the official 10.2 g per 100 g converted to 280 g (the note for * could not be read in the photo).

乳製品(国内製造)

Ingredient list of a common plain yogurt (example: Meiji “Meiji Bulgaria Yogurt LB81 Plain” 400 g)

生乳(国産)、乳製品

This is the ingredient list from Meiji’s official page (checked 2026-09-30). Neither lists any food additives. The difference is that Parthenon is a strained, concentrated Greek yogurt, with 15.0% milk solids-not-fat (Meiji Bulgaria: 9.5%), protein of 10.2 g per 100 g (same: 3.4 g) and fat of 4.3 g (same: 3.0 g).

Good points and concerns

+Good points

  • The only ingredient is “乳製品” (dairy products), with no food additives
  • No sugar used (sucrose 0 g in the official nutrition facts)
  • Protein is 10.2 g per 100 g and milk solids-not-fat is 15.0% (more than the common yogurt in the comparison below)

−Concerns

  • About ¥497 for 280 g (about ¥178 per 100 g)
  • Must be refrigerated (10°C or below)
  • The ingredient list says only “乳製品” (dairy products), so you cannot tell what kind of dairy products
