Urayomi (the “Site”) sets out the following on how it handles the personal information of the people who use the Site (“users”).

1. Information we collect

  • Information you enter when you contact us: your name (a nickname is fine), your email address, and the content of your inquiry
  • Information you enter when you send a comment from a product page: a nickname (optional) and the content of your comment. We do not ask for your email address.
  • Information sent automatically when you view the Site: your IP address, the type of browser, the pages you viewed, the date and time, and so on. Cloudflare, which delivers the Site, records this for secure delivery and operation of the service.

2. Purposes of use

  • Replying to inquiries and contacting you for that purpose
  • Reflecting errors in articles and changes in package labeling
  • Publishing comments you send on product pages (after the operator has reviewed them, they are published with the nickname and the date of posting. If you would like a published comment removed, please contact us from the contact page)
  • Preventing unauthorized access and keeping the Site running stably
  • Compiling statistics, in a form that does not identify individuals, to improve the Site

3. Provision to third parties

Except where required by law, we do not provide personal information to third parties without the person's consent.

4. External services we use

The Site uses the following services. How each service handles information is governed by its own privacy policy.

  • Cloudflare (delivery of the Site): Cloudflare's privacy policy
  • Google Forms (receiving inquiries and comments. What you enter is stored on Google's servers): Google's privacy policy
  • Google Fonts (displaying text. When you view the Site, your browser connects to Google's servers and your IP address and other information are sent): same as above
  • Google Analytics (access analysis. See “About access analysis (Google Analytics)” below): same as above

About access analysis (Google Analytics)

To learn which pages are read and from where, and to improve our articles, the Site uses Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies and sends the following information to Google. It does not send information that identifies an individual, such as name, address or email address.

  • The URL and title of the pages you viewed, and the date and time
  • Which site or social network you came from (the referrer, and the tracking string attached to a link)
  • The type of browser and device, the screen size, and your approximate region
  • That you clicked a purchase link (an ad) in an article (the domain the link points to, and the wording of the button)
  • An identifier for each browser, stored in a cookie

If you want to stop measurement by Google Analytics, disable cookies in your browser settings or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. About advertising (affiliate programs)

The Site takes part in the following affiliate programs. When a product is bought through a purchase link in an article, a referral fee may be paid to the Site. Pages that contain ads are marked “PR.”

When you click a purchase link, the company that serves the ad may use cookies and similar technology to measure results. These cookies do not contain information that identifies an individual, such as name, address, email address or phone number. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

The products we introduce and the content of our articles are decided by the operator, not by advertisers.

6. Disclosure, correction and deletion of personal information

If the person concerned asks for disclosure, correction or deletion of the personal information the Site holds, we will respond after confirming that they are that person. Please contact us from the contact page.

7. Disclaimer

  • Information such as ingredients and prices on the Site is based on the package labeling and the manufacturer's official information as of the date checked that is written in the article. Labeling may change, so please check the labeling on the actual product when you buy.
