  • Obtained from the whole plant of Artemisia capillaris, with capillin as the main component. On the List of Existing Food Additives, its purpose is preservative, and the short name is “カワラヨモギ” (Artemisia capillaris).
  • When used as a preservative, the purpose name must be written alongside, as in “保存料(カワラヨモギ)” (preservative (Artemisia capillaris)). There are no standards for use.
