Obtained from the secretion of the Pará rubber tree, with polyisoprene as the main component (excluding material obtained by decomposing the secretion of the Pará rubber tree).

  • Obtained from the secretion of the Pará rubber tree, with polyisoprene as the main component. Its purpose in the List of Existing Food Additives is gum base (a base for chewing gum). No standards for use are set.
  • When used as a gum base, it can be written under the group name “ガムベース” (gum base). Its alternative name is “カウチョック” (caoutchouc).
