  • When used as a flavoring, it can be listed on food labels simply as “香料” (flavoring), the group name (CAA, annex to “食品表示基準について” (Notes on the Food Labeling Standards)).

  • In the EU, flavoring substances are covered by the flavorings regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1334/2008), not by the list of food additives. It is on the Union list of flavoring substances (Annex I) as FL 03.001.
