Under the Food Labeling Standards, it can be labeled with the short name “加工デンプン” (modified starch), and it is given as an example of an additive for which the purpose name must be written alongside when it is used as a thickener, stabilizer, gelling agent, or “糊料” (thickening agent).
  • No standards for use (which foods or upper limits on amount) have been set.
