  • One of the modified starches, made by esterifying starch with acetic acid. It is used to give thickness or stability.
  • No individual standards for use appear in the list of standards for use.
  • Its short name is “加工デンプン” (modified starch). It is given as an example of an additive for which the purpose name must be written alongside when it is used as a thickener, stabilizer, gelling agent, or “糊料” (thickening agent).
