  • A substance in which glucose is bound to vitamin C. No standards for use have been set.
  • Its short names are “アスコルビン酸” (ascorbic acid), “ビタミンC” (vitamin C), and “V.C” (the same as for L-ascorbic acid and similar substances).
  • It is included in the list of “additives that may be used for nutritional fortification” (vitamins), and when it is used for fortification, labeling may be omitted (except for foods for special dietary uses and foods with function claims).
