  • The sodium salt of the amino acid L-aspartic acid. No standards for use are set.
  • It falls within the group name for seasonings (amino acids), and when used to adjust flavor it can be written together as “調味料(アミノ酸)” (seasoning (amino acids)) and similar. Its short names are “アスパラギン酸Na” and “アスパラギン酸ナトリウム”.
  • It is also on the list of “additives considered to be used for nutritional fortification” (amino acids).
