- A salt of the amino acids lysine and aspartic acid. No standards for use have been set.
- When used as a seasoning, it can be written with the group name “調味料(アミノ酸)” (seasoning (amino acid)). The short names include “リシン” (lysine), “リジン” (lysine), and “リシンアスパラギン酸塩” (lysine aspartate).
- It is on the list of “additives that may be used for nutritional fortification” (amino acids), and when used for nutritional fortification, labeling can be omitted (except for foods for special dietary uses and foods with function claims).
